Getting started

What is Invoa?

Invoa is quote-to-cash software for Malaysian businesses: proposals, quotations, invoices, payments and receipts in one chain, with LHDN e-invoicing built in. It is made by Prigo X Technologies Sdn. Bhd. See What is Invoa.

Do I need a card to sign up?

No. You start on the Free plan without a card. When you want to try everything, the owner starts the 14-day Pro trial from Settings → Plan & billing.

Is there a setup fee?

No. Setting up yourself is free: sign up, import your Bukku data, let Invoa find your customers' TINs, and you can issue the same day. If you would rather we do it for you, our Setup & e-Invoice onboarding service is RM800–1,500 once, only if you ask for it. See Quick start.

Can I bring my data from Bukku?

Yes. Export Contacts, Products & Services, Sale Invoices and Sale Payments from Bukku's Backup Data and upload them in Settings → Import data. Invoices keep their original numbers and dates, and Invoa's numbering continues after your last Bukku number. Quotations are not in Bukku's export. See Import from Bukku.

Can I run more than one company?

Yes. Each company has its own documents, numbering, e-invoice profile, team and plan, and you switch between them with the company switcher at the top of the app. Free and Core cover one company; Pro covers up to three. The limit counts companies you own; client companies you look after as an accountant do not count. See Team and roles.

Billing and plans

How much does Invoa cost?

PlanPriceIn short
FreeRM020 invoices a month (quotations, proformas, delivery orders and receipts free), 10 bills read by AI a month, with the "Powered by Invoa" footer
CoreRM39 a month or RM390 a yearUnlimited invoices, no "Powered by Invoa" footer, up to 3 people, bank reconciliation, profit and loss and cash flow, customer price lists, the REST API and webhooks, 200 bills read by AI a month

Prices are before SST. LHDN e-invoicing, the hosted pay page, payment reminders, expenses, the aged receivables and SST reports, Claude or ChatGPT reading and drafting, and a free seat for your accountant are on every plan. See Plans, trial and billing.

What counts towards the 20 a month on the Free plan?

Every invoice and credit, debit or refund note you issue in the calendar month. Quotations, proformas, delivery orders, receipts, drafts and history imported from Bukku do not count.

What does the 14-day Pro trial include?

Everything in Pro, no card needed. When it ends you drop to Free limits unless you upgrade. The owner can start it once per company, from Settings → Plan & billing.

How do I upgrade or change my plan?

The owner opens Settings → Plan & billing, chooses Monthly or Annual and clicks Upgrade to Core or Upgrade to Pro. Invoa's invoice opens; pay by FPX, card, DuitNow or bank transfer, and the plan switches on as soon as the payment is confirmed. To stop, click Cancel renewal; the plan runs to the end of the period you paid for. To move to a smaller paid plan, email hello@invoa.io.

e-Invoicing

Do I need e-invoicing?

Under LHDN's current rules (e-Invoice Guideline v4.8, as of October 2026), businesses with annual turnover of RM3 million or more must issue e-invoices. Below RM3 million you are exempt, unless a holding, related or shareholder company has RM3 million or more. Many smaller businesses still issue them because their customers ask. See e-Invoicing in Malaysia.

Who is the intermediary on my e-invoices?

Prigo X Technologies Sdn. Bhd., the company behind Invoa. You appoint us once in the MyInvois portal and Invoa submits on your behalf. Your TIN stays the supplier. See Connect MyInvois.

Is every invoice sent to LHDN automatically?

No. Issue the invoice, then click Submit to LHDN on it when you are ready. Invoa tracks the result and, once LHDN validates it, adds LHDN's QR code to the PDF. See Submit and cancel e-invoices.

My customer does not know their TIN. What do I do?

Click Find TIN on the contact to look it up at LHDN by ID number, registration number or company name, or use Find missing TINs on the contacts list for all customers at once. Matches by name only are never saved without you checking them. See Find a customer's TIN.

Can I cancel an e-invoice?

Within 72 hours of LHDN validating it, yes: void the invoice and Invoa sends the cancellation to LHDN. After 72 hours, issue a credit note instead. See Submit and cancel e-invoices.

What about walk-in customers without a TIN?

On Pro, Invoa can gather last month's invoices to customers without a TIN into one consolidated e-invoice to the General Public. See Consolidated and self-billed.

Payments

How do payments reach me?

Online payments go through CHIP (chip-in.asia) straight to your bank account under your own CHIP merchant account; Invoa never holds your money. Bank transfers go to the account printed on the invoice, and the customer tells you through the pay page. See Online payments with CHIP.

Do I need CHIP? Whose account is it, and what does it cost?

CHIP is optional. Without it, your invoices show your bank account and DuitNow details, and customers tell you they have paid through the invoice's pay page.

To take FPX, cards and e-wallets online, open your own CHIP merchant account, in your company's name, and connect it under Settings → Payments (CHIP). It is never Invoa's or Prigo X's account: CHIP pays you directly. CHIP charges its own fee for each payment, which depends on the method; see chip-in.asia. Invoa adds no payment fee and takes no share. See Online payments with CHIP.

A customer paid by bank transfer. How do I record it?

If they used I have paid by bank transfer on the invoice's page, the claim is waiting in Payments under Awaiting confirmation. Check it against your bank and click Confirm & issue receipt. Otherwise open the invoice and click Record payment. Partial payments are fine. See Payments and receipts.

Are receipts issued automatically?

Yes for payments made online through CHIP. When you confirm a transfer claim, the receipt is issued as you confirm. When you record a payment yourself, tick Issue a receipt for this payment.

Data and security

Where is my data?

Google Cloud (Singapore region), encrypted at rest. You can download everything — JSON and every PDF — from Settings → Data export at any time. See Export your data.

Can I delete an invoice?

You can delete a draft, which has no number. An issued document cannot be deleted or edited: void it, or correct it with a credit note, and it keeps its number. Payments and e-invoice records are never deleted either. See Invoices.

Can I see who changed what?

Yes. Settings → Audit log lists every change in the company, who made it and from where.

Accountants

Can my accountant use it?

Yes, and they never take one of your seats, on any plan. Invite them with the Accountant role: they see everything and download reports and journal exports, but cannot issue or change your documents. On Core they also reconcile your bank statements. When your company is on Pro (or a Pro trial), they also get the accountant console, with all their clients in one place and period locks. The console costs the accountant nothing. See For accountants.

Which accounting systems can I export to?

Reports → Exports has the sales journal as a generic CSV and in import layouts for SQL Account, AutoCount and Xero, plus aged receivables. The SST summary tab exports tax collected per SST type for your return.

I am an accountant with many clients. Is there a partner programme?

Yes. Accountants, company secretaries and tax agents can apply from Partners → Apply as a partner. Approved partners earn a recurring commission on the clients they bring. See the Partner Programme Guide.
