Customer price lists

Give customers their own prices, such as a wholesale discount or a government rate, and have quotations and invoices fill them in.

A price list gives some customers different prices from your standard ones: travel agents 10% off, a government rate, a partner price. Put a customer on a list and their quotations and invoices fill in those prices when you pick an item. Price lists are part of the Core and Pro plans.

Make a price list

  1. Open Products & Services → Price lists and click New price list.
  2. Give it a name, such as Wholesale.
  3. Choose the adjustment: a discount or a mark-up as a percentage of standard prices, or none if you only want to set prices on certain items.
  4. Click Save. The list's page opens.

Set prices on items

The list's page shows every active product and service with:

ColumnMeaning
StandardThe item's own price.
Set priceA price you typed for this list. Leave it empty to use the percentage.
Customer paysWhat a customer on this list is charged.

Type a set price and leave the box; it saves on its own. Clear the box to go back to the percentage. Prices from a percentage are rounded to the nearest sen.

Put customers on a list

Edit a customer and choose the list under Price list. A customer can be on one list at a time. The customer's page shows their list.

On quotations and invoices

When you pick an item on a line, Invoa fills in that customer's price. The picker shows the standard price struck through beside the list's name, so you can see the difference.

If you change the customer on a draft that already has items, Invoa offers to update the item prices to the new customer's prices. Choose Keep as is to leave them.

You can still type any price on a line. Price lists only fill in the starting price; issued documents never change.

Archive a list

Open the list and click Archive. Its customers go back to standard prices on new documents. Documents already made keep their prices.
