Plans, trial and billing

Invoa has three plans. Every plan includes the full quotation-to-receipt chain, the customer pay page, LHDN e-invoicing, payment reminders and the API. The plans differ in how many invoices you can issue, branding, billing schedules, how many bills Invoa reads for you and what Claude or ChatGPT can do.

#Plans and prices

Prices are in Ringgit, before SST. They are the regular prices, not a first-year offer. Online payment fees are charged by CHIP, not Invoa.

Each plan has a job. Free is for sending documents and getting paid: the whole chain, e-invoicing, the pay page and reminders, for one person and their accountant. Core is for running the business: your team, your bank and your numbers. Pro is for scaling and automating: unlimited people, Insights, billing schedules, the assistant running your billing, and more than one company.

#What happens when a plan ends

Nothing is deleted. If a company goes from Core or Pro back to Free, bank statements, reports, price lists and API keys stay where they are but cannot be used until the plan is back: no new statements or matches, price lists are kept but everyone pays standard prices, API keys stop working, and people over the Free limit stay in the company but no one new can be invited.

#What counts towards the Free limit

The Free plan allows 20 invoices per calendar month.

• Counted: every invoice, credit note, debit note, refund note, and consolidated or self-billed e-invoice you issue that month.
• Not counted: quotations, proformas, delivery orders, receipts (they issue themselves when you record a payment), drafts, and history brought in with Import from Bukku.

Settings → Plan & billing shows Usage this month: invoices issued and bills read by AI, each with a bar and how many are left, plus a chart of the last six months. When you reach the limit, issuing stops with a message asking you to upgrade; your drafts stay safe, and the count starts again on the 1st of next month (8am Malaysia time).

#Bills read by AI

When you upload expense bills, Invoa reads the supplier, date, number, amount and SST for you, up to your plan's monthly allowance: 10 on Free, 200 on Core, 500 on Pro. PDF bank statements read by AI share the same allowance. A PDF counts as one bill per 3 pages, so a 7-page statement uses 3.

Past the allowance, bills still upload and you fill them in yourself, or an owner or admin can add 200 more bills for RM20 (before SST) for the rest of the month: click Add 200 more for RM20 on the Expenses page or under Plan & billing and pay the invoice that opens. See Expenses.

#The 14-day Pro trial

You can try everything in Pro for 14 days without a card.

1. Open Settings → Plan & billing.
2. Click Start 14-day Pro trial. (The same button is on Settings → AI connectors.)

The plan card then shows Trial and Trial ends with the date.

• The trial is available only on the Free plan, once per company. The owner can start it from Plan & billing; owners and admins can start it from AI connectors.
• When it ends, the company goes back to Free limits and the page shows Trial ended … — back on Free limits. Nothing is deleted. Upgrade to keep Pro.

#Upgrade or change plan

1. Open Settings → Plan & billing.
2. Choose Monthly or Annual — 2 months free.
3. Click Upgrade to Core or Upgrade to Pro.
4. The invoice from Invoa (issued by Prigo X Technologies Sdn. Bhd.) opens. Pay it by FPX, card, DuitNow or bank transfer.

The plan switches on as soon as the payment is confirmed: straight away for online payments, or when we confirm your bank transfer. A new period starts on the day you upgrade.

Renewal. A week before each period ends, Invoa emails the invoice for the next one; Plan & billing shows it with Pay now. If it is still unpaid 14 days after the renewal date, the company returns to Free. Nothing you created is lost.

Cancel. Click Cancel renewal (or Switch to Free). Your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for, then the company is on Free. Changed your mind? Click Keep my plan. To move to a smaller paid plan, email hello@invoa.io.

Every invoice from Invoa is listed under Invoices from Invoa, with its receipt and e-invoice.

Only the company Owner sees the upgrade and trial buttons. Other team members can see the current plan and usage.

#Dormant plan

If your accountant created your company in Invoa for you, it may be on the Dormant plan (RM 0). You can keep records, run reports and export data, but you cannot issue documents. To start issuing, the owner clicks Upgrade to Core or Upgrade to Pro in Settings → Plan & billing and pays the invoice, or Switch to Free, which emails Invoa to move the company. Bills and PDF statements are not read by AI on Dormant. See For accountants.

#Setup: free, with help if you want it

Setting up Invoa yourself costs nothing. Most companies are ready in an afternoon:

1. Fill in your company details.
2. Import your Bukku data, or add your customers.
3. Let Invoa find your customers' TINs.
4. Pick your numbering and template.
5. Appoint Prigo X as your MyInvois intermediary if you need e-invoices.
