Insights
See how sales, getting paid, quotation win rates, your biggest customers and costs are moving, compared with the period before.
Insights turns your invoices, payments, quotations and expenses into the few numbers an owner watches. It is part of the Pro plan and the 14-day Pro trial. Open Insights in the sidebar and choose a period: 3 months, 12 months (the default), this year or last year. Every figure is compared with the same length of time just before, so 12 months is compared with the 12 months before that.
Sales are before SST; costs include the SST you paid, as in Profit & loss. Voided documents never count.
Highlights
Up to four coloured notes at the top point out what changed or needs attention, for example:
- sales up or down 5% or more on the period before;
- money overdue today, with a link to who owes it;
- one customer making up 30% or more of sales;
- customers paying you 10% or more faster or slower;
- one expense category making up 40% or more of costs;
- quotations still open and worth following up.
Sales
- Invoiced: invoices issued in the period, before SST.
- Invoices and Average invoice.
- Customers billed, and how many of them were billed for the first time.
Income and costs by month
Income against costs for each month, on an accrual basis (invoices when issued, costs by bill date). Open Profit & loss for the full statement or the cash basis.
Biggest customers
Your top five customers by sales and their share. If the top customer is a large part of your sales, losing them would hurt; it is worth knowing.
Getting paid
| Figure | What it means |
|---|---|
| Days to be paid | From issue date to the last payment, for invoices fully paid in the period. Bigger invoices count more. |
| Paid on time | Share of those invoices paid by their due date. |
| Overdue now | Unpaid balance on invoices past their due date today. |
| Slowest payers | Customers paying furthest past the due date on average, with what they owe now. |
Quotations
- Win rate: accepted or converted quotations, out of those decided. Declined, expired and quotations past their valid-until date with no answer count as lost; one still open does not count either way. By value weighs each by its total. If a customer said yes outside Invoa, mark the quotation accepted or convert it so it counts as won.
- Days to a yes: from issuing a quotation to the customer accepting it or you converting it.
- Still open: sent, not decided and still within their valid-until date.
Where the money goes
Expenses in the period by category and by supplier. Salaries and EPF, SOCSO and EIS are left out of the supplier list, and supplier names from bank lines that differ only by a date or reference are combined. Bills waiting for your review are not counted until you confirm them. See Expenses.
