Accessibility

Invoa should work for everyone who runs a business.

Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, for the website and the signed-in app. This statement says what is in place and what is not. Last reviewed 27 October 2026.

What you can expect

  • Every page can be used with a keyboard alone. Focus is always visible, and menus, dialogs and the plan switch follow the usual keys (Tab, Enter, Space, the arrow keys and Escape).
  • Forms have visible labels, and errors say what went wrong in words, not only in colour.
  • Text and controls meet the WCAG AA contrast ratios in the light and the dark theme. The app follows your device's dark mode, or you can choose with the theme button next to Sign out.
  • Pages reflow at 400% zoom and on a 320-pixel-wide screen without sideways scrolling, except data tables, which scroll inside their own frame.
  • Charts come with the same numbers as text or a table, so a screen reader gets the figures, not just a picture.
  • The interface is available in English and Bahasa Malaysia, and each page declares its language so screen readers pronounce it correctly.

How we test

  • Every public page and the main app pages are checked with axe-core against the WCAG 2.2 A and AA rules, at phone and desktop width, and the app in both themes. Changes to the interface are checked again before release.
  • Automated checks find about a third of accessibility problems, so we also go through key tasks by keyboard: signing up, creating and issuing an invoice, recording a payment and changing settings.
  • We have not yet had an independent accessibility audit or testing with screen-reader users. Both are planned, and this page will say when they are done.

Known limitations

  • Invoice, quotation and receipt PDFs are tagged, so screen readers follow their headings and tables. PDFs issued before 27 October 2026 are not tagged; each document is also available as a web page from its link.
  • The home-page product tour is an animation. It pauses on hover and on focus, and each step is also written out below it.
  • Pages from other services, such as the CHIP payment page, LHDN's MyInvois portal and Google sign-in, are outside our control.
